First snow usually arrives in November, Ann Arbor averages roughly 61 inches a season, and January lows sit near 18°F. The jacket that felt fine at August move-in won't survive Halloween. That's why this is really a winter list.
Saturdays are sacred
Home Saturdays reorganize the whole town around Michigan Stadium, the country's largest at 107,601 seats. Kickoffs run sunny September into bitter late November, the gates enforce a strict no-bag policy, and your freshman will spend hours outdoors either way.
